During 2021 we explored many options for a cost effective fully biodegradable guard. We considered guards from competitors and put many hours into our reasearch. The result is a cardboard style guard that is made from 100% Biodegradable stock; certified to TUV home compostability standards in Europe.
Even better, the stock board, while a little more expensive, can be made to the same dimensions as our tried and tested 2L cardboard guards and our larger tube-guard. The products are some of the most cost effective 100% biodegradable tree guards on the market. Transport and storage wise, the stock is the same thickness and the slightly off-white colour reflects sunlight to help maintain the healthy growth for the young plant in the first stages of growth.
